Nothing brings us more joy than receiving greetings from former students, who are out there in the world, living the dream! Today, we’re heading all the way to Hawaii, for a reunion with our former students, Oskar Andreas Olsen, Thorvald Kiersch, and Iikka Hesse, all graduated in 2023.

While the rain pours down back home in Norway, the following three send greetings from sunny Hawaii, and we can’t help but feel a little envious, can we?

Reporting from Hawaii:

Blue skies, warm temperatures, and beautiful beaches. We’re spending a lot of time studying as we go through the instructor program at Mauna Loa Helicopters. Weekdays are filled with studying, while weekends kick off with sand volleyball in town every Friday. Flying here is diverse and definitely different from Torp. Elevations range from 47 feet at the airport to 14,000 feet at the top of the volcano on the island. We also often get visits from the U.S. military with Chinooks, Apaches, and F22 Raptors flying by several times a week. Definitely wise to cover your ears when the Raptors zoom past if you want to keep your hearing intact.

Best regards,
Iikka, Thorvald, and Oskar

We wish you the best of luck, guys! Fly safe, and enjoy your time in beautiful Hawaii! 🏝️☀️

Aloha 🌺
